1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PIPR ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PIPR provides a skill-based rating system for pickleball players. The Service includes:

Digital player rating cards with QR verification
Self-reported (provisional) ratings
Coach-verified ratings
Public player profiles

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Ratings and Verifications

4.1 Self-Reported Ratings

You may self-report your skill level. Self-reported ratings are marked as "Provisional" and represent your honest assessment of your abilities. Deliberately misrepresenting your skill level may result in account suspension.

4.2 Coach Verifications

Coach verifications are conducted by independent contractors, not PIPR employees. While we vet coaches, PIPR does not guarantee the accuracy of any individual verification. Verified ratings represent the coach's professional judgment.

4.3 Rating Disputes

You may dispute a coach-verified rating within 14 days of receiving it. PIPR will review disputes and make a final determination. Refunds for verification fees are issued at PIPR's discretion.

5. Fees and Payment

5.1 PIPR Card

The PIPR card is currently free. Cards are valid for one year from issue date and can be renewed at no cost. Pricing may change in the future.

5.2 Coach Verification

Coach verification costs $50 USD per evaluation. This is a one-time fee per verification. Refunds may be issued if the evaluation is not completed.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Provide false or misleading information about your skill level
Create multiple accounts to circumvent ratings or bans
Harass, abuse, or threaten coaches or other users
Attempt to manipulate ratings through fraudulent means
Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using PIPR, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in that policy. Your PIPR rating and basic profile information are publicly visible via QR code scan.

8. Intellectual Property

PIPR and all related trademarks, logos, and content are the property of PIPR. You may not use our intellectual property without prior written consent. You retain ownership of any content you submit but grant PIPR a license to use it in connection with the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. PIPR DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT RATINGS WILL BE ACCURATE, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT ANY SPECIFIC RESULTS WILL BE ACHIEVED. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

PIPR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO PIPR IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service.
